Organ Transplant Management System (OTMS)
Face Recognition-Based Compliance for the Transplantation of Human Organs Act
Overview
Donors and Recipients are registered in the system through Facial Registration. At each stage before actual Surgery — counselling, authorization — the final Donor and the Recipient are identified through Facial Recognition to ensure there is no mismatch at any stage and identification is 100% accurate. All statutory Forms are auto-filled with uniform details as the Software is integrated with the Hospital Management Software. These forms can be directly uploaded on Government portals. After the surgery has been successfully done and the patient is sent home, regular follow-ups can be undertaken through this system.
Key Features
HMS Integration
The OTMS Software is integrated with the Hospital Management Application being used by the Hospital — ensuring all patient data is uniformly shared across systems.
Facial Registration & Verification
After the Donor is finalized based on DNA Testing and relationship with the Recipient is ascertained, the faces of both are registered. Face Templates are instantly transferred to devices at all subsequent stages.
Stage-wise Print & Approval
After Facial verification is successfully completed at each stage, a printout at the OT stage is generated showing status at all stages with final approval of the OT Team Head.
Auto-Generated Statutory Forms
All statutory forms required under the Transplantation of Human Organs Act are automatically generated with uniform, error-free data directly from the integrated HMS.
Post-Operative Follow-up via WhatsApp BOT
After the patient is discharged, the system sends alerts to the doctor, support team, and patient. Through the WhatsApp BOT, the team can track test reports, medications, monitor health conditions, and conduct video calls.
Multi-Stage Fraud Prevention
Objective, technology-driven identification removes the possibility of in-house connivance that leads to organ commerce scandals and hospital license revocations.
Problems It Resolves
- Facial Recognition ensures 100% accurate verification of both the Donor and the Recipient — removing the possibility of organ trafficking through illegal sale and purchase of organs
- Each stage is inter-linked so the system monitors that persons go through stages in correct order and no stage is missed
- When statutory forms are filled manually, details between different forms vary leading to errors — this system eliminates that completely
- Post-discharge follow-up activities done manually can get missed — the system ensures no follow-up is ever skipped
Business Benefits
- Ensures no illegal activities take place in the Hospital — protecting their transplant license
- Maintains a well-compiled digital database of all registered and completed transplant cases
- Ensures all stages are followed and no breach of Organ Transplant Laws occurs at any point
- All statutory forms are auto-filled and ready to upload directly on Government portals
- Post-operative follow-ups as per pre-set timelines are tracked and monitored over WhatsApp BOT
